This course is addressed for Ph.D. students with basic knowledge of molecular biology, cell biology, and genetics. In a series of seminars, students will learn the biology of mouse and human stem cells, including different types, origins, etc. Furthermore, we will discuss the application of stem cells for research, pharma/biotech, and clinical needs. We will address ethics and the future outlook of human stem cells. We will discuss the exemplary project relevant to human health and disease and based on stem cells. Finally, students will design a project based on the utilization of stem cells.
