The course covers various aspects of gender equality policy and education in the European Union. What are the crucial challenges in the gender equality field? How the EU is going to cope with them? What are the main documents and persons who deal with equality issues in the EU?
• Students will learn on how decision-makers (MEPs, MPs, institutions, organisations) influence gender equality policy in the EU and in illustrative member states; they will discuss gender equality agenda in respective committees in the European Parliament, and for some topics, and will be provided insights to understand mechanisms and roots of inequalities between genders.
