The course is an introduction to economic issues for students of Biotechnology. The course contents focus on economic issues in the field of bioeconomy.

Bioeceonomy, in the light of the definition adopted at the Global Bioeconomy Summit in 2018, is understood as production, utilization and conservation of biological resources, including related knowledge, science, technology, and innovation, to provide information, products, processes and services across all economic sectors aiming toward a sustainable economy.

The course participants prepare innovative projects using their unique biological and biotechnological knowledge in combination with the knowledge of economics and management provided by the lecturer. In the future, products and services developed within the course may become the basis for starting your own business, opening a startup or providing ideas to enterprises.
