The pro-seminar offers a theoretical and practical introduction to debating. It briefly discusses the history of debating, introduces basic theoretical concepts, and popular debate formats (the Oxford Union style – British Parliamentary Debate, the Karl Popper Debate), and allows students to participate in debates on a variety of topics.
