The course aims to: 1. Improve the students' writing skills in different aspects of journalistic writing by providing them with the necessary grammatical and lexical skills 2. Give students the knowledge to recognize and employ appropriate structures for different genres of writing 3. Give the students the ability to evaluate existing journalistic texts in terms of newsworthiness and accuracy 4. Teach students to research, plan and write longer pieces of journalistic writing and critically evaluate and edit their own and others' writing
