While the aim of the seminar is to familiarise students with Canadian literary tradition in general, the seminar focuses specifically on Canadian prose in the post-WWII period. Texts selected for discussion vary in genre, style, subject-matter and focus, allowing students to appreciate the diversity of contemporary Canadian prose. The reading list includes novels, short stories, life-writing, and texts that straddle different literary genres.
